Being the Church

"But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare."

Jeremiah 29:7

For the City

Throughout church history, Christians have responded to times like we are facing today with compassion, love, and sacrifice that is anchored by the hope in eternal life through Jesus Christ. We have an unprecedented opportunity to stand in the gap for those that are in need through prayer, generosity, and acts of service, so that our Father in heaven can be glorified (Matthew 5:14-16). It is in times such as these that Christ must be revealed through the acts of His church displaying hope, peace, care and in the world gripped with despair, anxiety, and self-preservation.
